Not for her pink and orange shorts and tee combo - even though I don't mind her yellow frill ankle socks - but because no one can rock a back-pack back-pack like she does.
I'm not looking for an all singing and dancing back-pack / ruck sack - because that would be weird. Instead I'd like some sort of leather or canvas option. My current two faves are:

That's what happened today.

If you ever watched Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, you'll know that Carlton and more specifically his dancing was in danger of overshadowing Will Smith as the star of the show.

If you haven't seen this, then you are in a for a treat...

It's In The Bag

Remember back at school when having the right school bag was a big deal and choosing the right school bag for the start of the school term was not a choice to be taken lightly?

I do.

I was never really one to follow school bag rules, apart from the Benetton duffle bags that came in an array of colours and had the thin rope straps that really dug in to your shoulders and left (un)attractive red marks - you know the one.

I liked rucksacks/backpacks and wore them with both straps on my shoulders - oh yes, I pushed the nerdy boundaries, but I also liked bags that other girls at my school at the time would have thought 'granny-ish'.

At the top of my school bag wishlist was a leather satchel. A nice natural tan leather satchel complete with buckle straps. The ones that started off as that pale stiff leather (kind of like the leather of Louis Vuitton straps and handles) before softening up and turning a nice golden vintage colour thanks to the oils on your hands. Ahhh to dream.

I remember the bags being about £70+ and way more than my mother felt appropriate to spend on a school bag.

Now that I am an adult... I have decided to fulfil my dream of owning a classic leather satchel with a Cambridge Satchel Company 15" yellow leather batchel (it has an additional top handle) complete with blind embossed initials.

That's all I can say about my current guilty pleasure - Take Me Out!

The first time I watched it, it was Paddy's catchphrases that had me chuckling.
- "Let the corn see the cob"
-"Let the plumber see the pipes"
- "Let the Vinda see the loo"
and of course the now much repeated 'No likey, no lighty!

Then after a few watches it became a must see just so we could comment on the girls - you know the usual remarks on what they were wearing, because some of them looked like they got caught in a glitter factory explosion. We even grew to know some of them - Rhian, Gazza Face, Daisy, Tall Jo.

However, over the last couple of the weeks it has been the boys that are stealing the show.
Not for any good reasons mind - the bad dancing, the bad outfits, the cringey winks and what look like facial ticks.

This week though Thomas (view his audition video here) stole the show.
Looking like a reject villain from a Bond movie with his platinum blond haircut and all white suit; he came across as a tad arrogant, and as if the girls on the show should be so lucky to get a date with him. He may be a nice guy, but he did himself no favours. Needless to say Thomas was met with a wipeout - with all 30 girls turning their lights off. Oh dear.

He got a hug off Paddy though, so he really shouldn't complain.

After doing the walk of shame back up the stairs dateless - Thomas made his bitterness known by taking off his jacket and pointing a finger across all the girls and shouting...

I'm sure they'll live Thomas.

The Short Straw

It may be snowing and it may be minus degrees outdoors, but I'm thinking about spring now.

I want a bit of warm sunshine, bright days, and enough of the S.A.D please.
I want to not have to wear my huge parka, two pairs of socks, scarf, gloves and hat, instead I want to start thinking about pedicures and sandals.

My current day dream is to trade in my knitted woolly hat for a straw boater.
Memories of my primary school summer uniform come flooding back - baby blue and white stripped summer dress, white thin belt, white or blue cardigan, all topped off with a straw boater complete with grosgrain ribbon trim. (FYI - In the winter we wore berets. I loved my school uniform.)

I haven't started my search yet for a straw boater, so far I have only seen this one from New Look.

... please hurry along Mr Sunshine.

Normally, this TV show is the kind of programme I would rather gouge my eyes out than watch. However, having watched it two weeks on the trot (yes I said it), I can tell you that Take Me Out is funnnnnnnyyyyy! I'm talking laugh out loud funny.

It's like Blind Date for 2010 and the A-D-D generation.

We all have short attention spans, so it's great that the show can potentially set up 4 couples (lots of comedy fodder) as well as review the previous weeks dates at the classy joint that is 'Fernandoooos'. All that comedy crammed into an hour practically makes Cilla look like a slacker. She would have had more opportunities to wear a hat had she worked as hard as Paddy.

I must say Paddy McGuinness makes the show with his funny quips. He sells it much better than he did Greggs.

My favourite catchphrase from the show (oh yes it has a catchphrase) is No Likey, No Lighty and my light is definitely on for this programme.

J'adore the Jersey Shore

The real stars of Car Crash 'reality' TV are those kids on the Jersey Shore

If you haven't seen it you must search it out and watch it - just to see the spray tans, the hair, the fights, oh and did I mention the hair?!

It seems like everyone is loving the J.Shore - with Fred Flare pointing me in the direction of this make over shot...

What happened to the gel and fake tan? I feel cheated.

The best Jersery Shore make over though has to be Michael Cera getting his very own guido hairstyle, styled by none other than DJ Pauly D who posted the pics on his facebook fan page (Is it wrong that I kind of want to become a fan?)

If that weren't enough to make you come over to the j.side (see what I did there?) I'll leave you with a short clip of the j.shore peeps 'beating up the beat' - read: dancing.

But you have to admit this quilted and studded lion head bum-bag from Topshop is amazing!

Thanks to my lovely pals who got it for me at Christmas.

Here is a little vid I made using my beloved Digital Harinezumi camera during our Christmas dinner.
It's a bit dark as the camera doesn't do so well in low light, so you may have to squint.

The quality of the video reminded me of the opening credits to the Wonder Years - where there was no sound, and all everyone ever did was wave at the camera.

I'm having a gold phase at the moment, and I can only wish of having Midas' power of turning stuff into gold.
However, I'm pretty sure it's a skill that can't be learned, so I will just have to make do with buying my own gold trinkets.

I just found an old Euro Millions ticket in my drawer - maybe I've won!

I've managed to give it a little makeover - something that this blog desperately needs - I mean I'm still using one of the original patterned templates for goodness sakes!

Lunch with the gang - Luella, Marc and Jade

Lunch was good today. Went with Jade and met with Luella and Marc - you know how it is.

First stop Luella...

Had to stop myself from getting more bow headbands to add to my collection. This was very difficult as they now come in lilac, purple, bright pink and orange - lovely.

There were also a couple of dresses that caught my eye, but due to the failure of winning last weeks Euro Millions; these dresses were ~~slightly~~ a lot out of my price range.

On another Luella note though, her website has finally been re-done to show the correct seasons collection - it's about time! It's a bit weird to use, but I'll persevere to be able to look at nice things.

Anyway I digress... after a short walk we went to visit the new Marc By Marc Jacobs store. Only one world to describe it - overwhelming - but in a good way. Obviously there was lots of stuff I wanted, but I settled on...
USA Tote - Borderline tacky it's amazing! I love it.

All in all, an amazing lunch. Tomorrow lunch time has a lot to live up to.

1) The company name 'Massive Dynamics' - Lame.

2) Every week; what ever freak event is happening always relates to Bishop's work - but they only seem to realise this half way through the episode when the situation is critical.

3) Walter saying "someone's continued my work blah blah blah..."

4) Astrid's microphone head hair do.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't like the programme, I'm just saying there are a few things that irk me.
I'll still keep watching though.

p.s Something I do like though - Astrid's surname is Farnsworth, just like Professor Farnsworth from Futurama.

OMG! I have recently been watching the first series of Beverly Hills 90210 - the original Aaron Spelling version - and I am loving it!

I picked up the DVD box set and what a good purchase - now I want all the other series.

Watching it now - they all looked so young, even though they were about 30 at the time. It is soooooooo much better than the new version of 90210.

I am loving the fashion - so bad. All big shoulder pads, over sized jackets, patchwork jeans, and resident bad boy Dylan McKay even wore dungarees!
My fave outfit so far must be Kelly Taylor sporting turquoise tights, black and white checked cycling shorts, some sort of half top and a light denim jacket - nice.

Now enough writing, I've got more 90210 to watch.

More accurately and specifically Christmas has come to my desk at work. I'm drunk on festive spirit and have festooned my computer screen with some USB fairy lights. Now I also want the USB flashing Christmas tree. It may seem a bit much, but I love it!

I know considering I am a Londoner born and bred, I should have more interest in the politics of the UK. After all, it is the laws and policies here that will have an affect on my life.

However, I can't help but be more interested in American politics. Mainly because at the moment it is so much more entertaining!

On the one hand you have Barack Obama a man fighting for change, and who has the ignorants of america quaking in their boots, just because his middle name is Hussein.

But then you have the stars of the show...

Verb hating Sarah Palin - VP contender, and of course...~~Grandpa Werthers~~ John McCain.

I don't have to explain why he is such a dubious choice for President do I? No, I'll let him show you himself...

This guy is seriously asking you to entrust him to lead the country and shape the future of America? Hmmmmm.

Anyway... After seeing that I didn't think I could cringe anymore, until I saw this: Kerry Katona slurring her words on This Morning! this morning.

Seeesh give the girl a break. Obv she was sober. She just said she had some medication last night to help her sleep, what's wrong with that? If by last night she meant just before I came on air, and if by medication she meant crystal meth washed down with a bottle of champers.

You have one person on the brink of being president of a country and the other labelled an addict just because she couldn't get through some public speaking.. just doesn't seem fair.

I started this blog back in September 2006 when I had quit my job to take some time out and reassess my priorities (sounds poncy I know).

With all my new found free time I decided to start this blog and just see what happened.

Two years on after some sporadic posting, I'm still here rambling on.

Basically my current head scratcher is whether or not to change my template, as I picked this theme when I started and have basically stuck with it for two years.

This ruffle trench coat is actually by Lacroix and available from La Redoute of all places!

Needless to say, I will dream about it and want it and keep looking at it until it sells out just to torture myself.

She is the brain child (emphasis on child) behind fashion blog Style Rookie.

I can't believe she is only 12 years old! At her age I was awkward, shy, and only wore clothes that my mum bought me. These mainly consisted of jumbo cord trousers. Bleurgh.

Her sense of style, her knowledge of fashion and her growing photography and web skills will be sure to put her in good stead in the future. But right now I think she should keep having fun with fashion and defo keep writing her blog.

Ok so this post is a little overdue considering we are about 2 or 3 eps into some programmes; but the most important thing to remember is - TV IS BACK!

After the writers strike and the TV drought, I am currently binging on TV. Watching everything and anything I can lay my eyeballs on. (This does not include Eastenders, Corrie, Emmerdale - or anything like that. I am not yet that desperate.)
Basically, I love TV like a fat kid loves cake!

All I can say is thank goodness for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and Flight Of The Conchords which provided some much needed entertainment this summer.

So what will I be watching now that TV is back:

-Fringe - Mighty Duck - Pacey Witter slash Joshua Jackson is back. Quick wit and fringe science all mixed together.

-Pushing Daisies - Beautifully shot story of a man who can bring people back to life - with conditions of course, and I love Anna Friel's costumes.

-Chuck - More nerdy hi-jinx and spies. A major step up from 'Less Than Perfect' for Zachary Levi

-House - Medical Drama fix.

I'm also waiting for CSI and 30 Rock to start.

I know there are more progs I watch but I am distracted at the mo, as I am watching 90210 as I write this.

What do I love about this particular tee? It's soft jersey, its got a tiger on the front, and most importantly - it's colourful.

That's probably why I am also drawn to this 'Life Is Boring' Tee from Urban Outfitters

I'd like to wear either one to work, with my fave oversize cardi and my tea cosy hat.

Wonder By Name...

Last night I had the privilege of going to watch Stevie Wonder perfom live at the O2. I must say I felt slightly overwhelmed at the fact that I was there watching Stevie Wonder live, and felt a tear come to my eye as he sang all the classic Stevie songs that I love.

He got the crowd up and participating:

Girls:Yeah yeah

Girls: Yeah yeah

No?... I guess you had to be there.

He also seemed to have a bit of a thing for Barack Obama! I kid you not. He kept randomly inserting Barack's name into the lyrics of his songs. For example:
"I just called to say, Barack Obama for pressidennttttt.... I just called to say Vote Baraaaaaack-ooooo oo oo"
Ok, so maybe that's not exactly what he did, but you get the idea.

It's nice to see Mr. Wonder believing so much in the US presidential candidate, but seriously, what difference does it make to us? We can't vote. Did no one tell Stevie this?

Anyway, I guess we all know who Stevie is going to vote for.

Either way it was fun night, and I even got to take the Thames Clipper boat all the way back to Waterloo and see the sights of London by night. Nice.

Fashion vs. Sport

OMG! They stole my dissertation! Kind of.

On a quick browse of the internet to see if there are any interesting exhibits that I may want to go and visit. I came across this Fashion vs. Sport exhibition currently on at the Victoria & Albert Museum - my fave museum may I add.

This is basically what I did my final university dissertation on - exploring whether the design principle 'form follows function' and all that jazz applied when it came to sportwear, specifically trainers. A bit of a weird topic I know, considering I did History of Art at Uni. Well, the full course title was actually History of Art, Architecture & Design, so it was kind of relevant to the design part of the course.

I did it, not because I had a genuine passion for sportwear and fashion hybrids, but because at uni I had a lot of disposable income and spent a lot of it on trainers - exclusives, rare colourways, limited editions etc. Anyway, it was a very expensive habit and I figured I could justify it all in the name of research for my dissertation.

I suppose it all paid off in the end as I passed my course.

If anyone else is interested, the exhibition is on until Jan 4, 2009.

New York fashion week is in full swing and even VB herself has put out a collection of dresses for S/S'09. I wanted to see what she had done, mainly to ridicule her offering - is that bad?

Well, having trawled the web to see images and read what the fashion folk are saying about it, all I can say is meh!

It has been described by various critics as "the hottest thing going on in New York this week", "beautiful", and "classy" but the only word that springs to my mind is: Bland.

I'm not saying I don't like it just because it was made by La Beckham, I just don't like it because it is not my style, but I am sure there are women out there who are loving the look of these dresses.

There is nothing particularly offensive about them, but I think there are other designers out there who do this classic look a lot better. And yes, it has been mentioned that the dresses are exactly the kind of thing you would see VB wearing herself - which makes me ask; why would you want to dress like her?

Does this mean she is no longer doing the jeans thing?

Anyway, as I am not lusting after anything from VB, I can focus all my energy on lusting after other things.
Hmmm... off to trawl through the photos on Style.com and make a wish list of things I want. Then round off my evening with an ep of Gossip Girl.

R.I.P Chic Misfit

In a blogging moment of madness I set up a fashion/shopping specific blog named Chic Misfit over on Wordpress. Who knows what possessed me to think I would be able to maintain two blogs, when I could barely update or post on this one.

Anyway, I thought I could do it and probably wrote in total no more than 15 posts, if that. It did get a few commentors though which was nice. Some people even added it to their blogroll - sorry.

However, I looked at it the other day and saw that the last time I had posted was way back in May. Tut tut.
So I took the decision to delete it - gasp- as I no longer liked the title or look of the blog. I did think twice before doing it as once you click the 'Delete' button there is no going back. I thought what if at some point I would want to come back to it, but in reality the answer was I probably never would.

I still want to write about fashion and shopping related stuff so keep an eye out in case I pop up when you least expect it. If anything, I'll probably just add it to the mish-mash of stuff I write about on this blog and bore you all with it on here.

So R.I.P Chic Misfit - It was fun whilst it lasted.

Life Through A Lens

Meet my camera - the Canon Powershot G7. I've had it just over a year and I love it to bits, but I am secretly wanting to trade up to the Canon Powershot G9 (ssshh don't tell my camera).
There is not much in it - a few extra megapixels, bigger screen, the return of RAW format to the G-series and time lapse functionality to name but a few of the differences.

To appease myself and the fact that I probably won't end up getting the G9, I am looking to spruce up my G7 with some accessories... woo hoo.

Ok, so these are the things I want:

Canon SC-DC50 leather rangefinder case. Nice isn't it?

And a fish eye lens and adaptor.

There are a few out there on Amazon and eBay but I don't know which one to get so I am still umming and ahhing. I have to do more research.

I think that is all I need to continue loving my Canon G7.

It's hard enough finding your own 'style' during those awkward puberty and teenage years; trying to figure out what suits you, and what does not.

So why would you give your child a helping hand on to the road of misfit-dom by putting them in these clothes from Beyonce and Mama Knowles' label - Dereon - House OF Dereon's younger girls line?

You would think that if you had any pearls of wisdom with regards to fashion and style, you could pass them on to your child to make their tween / teen years less traumatising.

The only reason you would buy any of these clothes from would be:

a) You hate your kid.

b) You want your kid to end up a hip-hop honey or dancing on the pole.

c) You hate your kid.

You are always guaranteed to stumble across something good that you may never have otherwise come across, and it's all available at the click of a mouse. Amazing!

I mean today alone Lady Jadey has shown me some pretty odd things, like this naked mole rat on Crazy Cute Animals!

Anyhoo... my discovery of the day was Your Face, a blog by illustrator Damien Weighill where you send in a pic of err... your face and he'll draw it and post it on his blog. You may end up with a moustache, laser eyes, or square head. Who knows?

You'll be in good company though as even her Majesty the Queen has had her face done (and I'm not talking botox or plastic surgery)

So I have sent off my pic and am waiting to see if he'll draw my face.

Till then I shall keep delving into the depths of the worldwideweb to see what other gems it throws up.

Gocco-topia

I am slightly obsessed with my Gocco, and so last night I decided to play with it some more.

After my simple first attempt and test prints , I thought I'd try something a little more girly and detailed this time.

So after much umming and ahhing, I opted for this floral print to go on some grey note cards with matching envelopes. The card looks white in the pics, but trust me, it is grey)

They are not perfect, but all in all I am quite pleased with them. I had a few issues with the ink blotting at the edges of the card, but oh well. It's all trial an error, and a learning curve. As they say practice makes perfect.

Need to get more bulbs and screens.

Did I mention the rather scary warning that features on the side of the bulb packet?... Something about the bulbs containing chemicals that may cause cancer, reproductive harm and birth defects. Eeeek! That can't be good at all.

Gocco-ing Mad

Shopping for clothes and other stuff has now been replaced by wanting and craving Gocco accessories and ink. I want it all!

Hi, my name is J and I am a scrabble-o-holic.

Yes, I ♥ Scrabble. Not a day goes by without me playing a game.

When I was younger my family would often pit me and my cousin against each other in a bid to see who was smarter. As a result this put me off the wordy game and I didn't play for years.

However, a few years back and over a board of travel Scrabble my love for it was rekindled.
We would play every lunch and try and rack up as many points as we could.

Then one Christmas I got the ultimate Deluxe Scrabble board. Sweet.
Now I also have Scrabble for my DS lite and am addicted to the Scrabulous application on Facebook with currently 8 games on the go.

Just before Christmas I saw the Scrabble sets to beat all Scrabble sets... SUPER SCRABBLE !! Be still my beating heart.

Not only do you get more tiles, so that you can make more words, a giant sized board, but also earn quadruple word score! Think of what you could do if you landed on that square with a Q, J, or Z.

Anyhoo.. must dash. It's my turn to move.

Craft Attack

"The devil makes work for idle hands" or so the saying goes.

Well in that case he must like arts and crafts, as lately with my free time I am rediscovering my love of 'making things'.

One trip to the art shop, some card, glue and sticking later, and I had made my first birthday card.

Now you may be thinking - am I just being cheap? Maybe, but I think a handmade card is so much more heart felt. Before you ask, no I didn't just get some crayon and doodle on a bit of folded paper.

Anyway the important thing here is that it got my creativity flowing again. Got lots of things I want to make and do now.

Fighting the urge to go to the BIG Paperchase on Tottenham Court Road and getting more materials and tools. It is proving very difficult.

Another Christmas Over & The Start Of Another Year.

So that's it, 2007 is over and we are 4 days in to 2008. How's it going for you loyal reader? Anyone?

Did you accomplish everything you wanted to last year? Have you made a plan of action for this year?

It's early days yet and most of us are still tucking in our Christmas tums as we make the yearly pledge to get fit and get rid of it, along with the Christmas tum from 2006 which has taken up permanent residence on your thighs.

This year is the year I have decided that things are going to happen, and I am going to find my fortune. Pretty positive way to start the year don't you think?
Well that's the plan. Check back in a month to see if any progress will have been made...eeek.

I'll be getting married this year which is pretty big, but there are also a few smaller steps I'll be making like giving up Coke (the drink, not the drug)as well as making a bigger effort to save my pennies; afterall weddings cost!

I may even update this blog more frequently... maybe (she says sheepishly)

Doggy Sanitary Towels

If the title of this post got your attention and made your hand move your mouse until you ended up here on this page - well then you are now obliged to read my ramblings. So let me proceed...

For the record this post is not about doggy sanitary towels per se, it is in fact about the current Bodyform advert gracing our TV screens. Don't know what I'm talking about then CLICK HERE

So, we have a stylish gal-about-town going about her business and flicking her hair around, with obligatory large sunnies and tiny dog in her handbag.
When she gets home she puts down her bag and to her dismay, the doggy leaps out with her sanitary towel (with wings) stuck to its bum!

Bodyform's solution to this predicament is to give us a free tin towel holder.

MY solution would be to let the bleedin' (no pun intended) dog walk on its own four legs (that's two more than we humans have), rather than carry it around in a bag!

Also, if anyone could also explain to me how the dog unwrapped the sanitary towel in the first place from it's plastic wrapper I would be very grateful.

Whoa it's been a while since I last posted.

Probably no one out there reading this anymore (not that there were many readers before). You are probably all on Facebook poking each other. *POKE*

Just thought I'd dust off the keyboard and see what was going on in the blogosphere. Do people still call it that? Or have I been out of the loop so long it has acquired a new fangled name like Blogolaserterraverse.

Primark Oxford Street: I Went, I Saw, I was Scared!

I'm no fool. I didn't go to Primark Oxford Street on opening day. I was at work, unlike all the people who were at the opening. Plus, you just knew it would be madness, and only the insane or those with a death wish would dare to go.

I mean, would you want to be in amongst these crazies - hopped up on sugar and the excitement of finding a bargain?

Not me, no sireee Bob!

So, I left it and thought I'd visit at a later date and see what all the fuss was about. Would this Primark be better than Hammersmith?

I finally went last Tuesday and it was still insane. There were no queues, I was able to walk straight in. Getting out on the other hand was a different story. Due to all people (mainly giddy girls) the store was still heaving, and the line for the tills wrapped around the store a few times. I can only assume these people were in no rush, as they wouldn't be going anywhere in a hurry.

I couldn't be bothered to look, not that I could see anything due to all the people and the moment I had gone in I regretted my decision and just wanted to get out again - but how? I could see no way out. As I walked I was being pulled further into the store and the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street was fading in the distance.

Ok, don't panic... stay calm.

I saw the street and people walking, I headed in that direction- to freedom. Exit denied! It was a window! Teasing me with the outside world. Damn you see through glass!
After much searching I found an exit, at one point I thought I was going to have to tunnel my way out.

Anyway, I won't be going back there in a hurry. I may need therapy just to get over the experience. If I do need to go to Primark, I'll probably just stick to the Hammersmith branch. After the madness of Oxford Street, Hammersmith will seem like an oasis of calm in comparison.

Pigeon Street

I don't hate many things, but I do HATE pigeons. Rats of the sky, winged vermin, spawn of the devil, whatever you want to call them - the point is I hate them!

Phew! I think I have made myself clear on that point now.

Anyhooo... around Victoria Station, there are a fair few pigeons who hang around waiting for the demented grannies and grandads to come along and put out some stale bread for them. When they do, it is a disgusting sight. All these greasy, one legged pigeons all jumping on each other to get a bit of crusty loaf. Urrrrgh!

So, when I have to go through Victoria Station, its like running the gauntlet, trying to avoid the critters as well as hoping you don't get poo bombed. The gits.

Why am I banging on about pigeons? Well, it would seem these beady eyed skanks are smarter than they look. Obviously, Victoria Station is very busy, especially Monday-Friday with all the workers commuting in and out of the city. So the pigeons hang about, waiting to swoop on the left overs and dropped bits of food.

However, come the weekend... where are the pigeons? No where to be seen. Not even perched on the top of the underground exit. Do they really know what day it is? What really creeped me out was when there were no pigeons on Bank Holiday Monday! Seriously, do they know it's a bank holiday? Do they have the day off too? What the hell ?!?

For those of you who detest pigeons as much as I do, you may find the following video amusing. If however, you love animals blah blah blah, you may find it offensive. Way to go Pelican!!

American Idol 6: FINAL 12

This week saw the Top 16 whittled down to the FINAL 12, and it was another week of poor performances from the boys. The girls are just wiping the floor with them.

Each contestant came out and did their thing, boys on Tuesday and the girls on Wednesday, and then America voted.
Eeeeek.. who would still be in with a shot at being the 'Next American Idol' and whose journey would be over? We'll find out after the break. Kidding. Did you like my Ryan Seacrest impression?

So here are a couple of things I picked up on...

What is the deal with Sanjaya's eyebrows? Did someone use permanent marker to draw them on? Or maybe someone got carried away with this eye brow stamp kit. Don't even get me started on the straightened hair or the Hawaiian hula !! Yes folks that is what Sanjaya's secret was, he can hula. Maybe it's something he should have kept to himself.

Anyhoo, back to the performances.
As I mentioned the girls were great, weakest ones for me were Hayley and of course Antonella. In all fairness though, this week was probably Antonella's best perfomance so far. However, these are the two I felt deserved to be booted off. So imagine my shock when Hayley was voted in to the Top 12 (huh?) and Sabrina Sloan was voted off instead, along with Antonella.

As for the boys... Jared Cotter and Sundance Head (yes that really is his name) were voted off. They both took it rather well, even though I don't think they should have gone at this stage. My picks for ousting would have been Phil Stacey and Sanjaya.

America what were you thinking?? You understand the point of the show right? Vote off the weakest/worst singers, NOT keep them in.

Special mention also goes to Ryan Seacrest for possibly doing the worst announcements of who was in and who was out. Ryan, you have been doing this for SIX seasons now, learn to build up some suspense, rather than the haphazard style you seem to have adopted. Nobody gets it.

Snow Globe Down

Ok, this crying face may be a slight exaggeration to how I was feeling when one my snow globes met an untimely end, but I was very sad.

Just in case you didn't know, I collect snow globes. Yes they are tacky objects, but I don't care. I think they are pretty. I try and get one from every country I visit, or people who know me get me one from wherever they have travelled. Very nice people. Now I'm not talking the plastic variety, where the water inside evaporates and leaves you with nothing more than a plastic bubble. I collect the glass ones. I don't have a room full yet, but it is a collection in progress.

Anyhoo, the whole point of this post was that the other day whilst I was getting a book, I accidentally knocked my 'Sweden' one off the shelf. The glass dome shattered and left a sprinkling a glass and glitter bits on my floor.

That's all. One less snow globe. Thanks for letting me share my loss.

Americal Idol: Top 20 become the Top 16

As I went Roller Disco, I missed American Idol. Ney mind, as I was able to see it via the power of repeats and downloads. Yey for technology.

So after strong performances from Lakisha and Jordin last week, I expected everyone to up their game this week. Did they?

After watching the shows, the boys again failed to wow me, and I am struggling to remember their names as they are all so forgettable. Except SANJAYA!! Who complete with Michael Jackson inspired wardrobe and small whispery voice, is memorable for all the wrong reasons. Who the hell voted to keep him in? What are you thinking!!

The girls however, all tried to step it up.
Laskisha, amazing voice, but preferred last weeks performance and outfit.
Jordin Sparks - again amazing voice, but preferred last weeks performance.

The girls that stood out for me this week were:

Melinda Doolittle, big voice for such a small person. It's so sweet that she has to have all her outfits planned.

Stephanie Edwards, blew everyone away this week with her voice.

Once again Antonella Barba was spared. She may be a good looking girl, but compared to the others, her voice just does not cut it. America are you not listening??

Leslie Hunt was voted off and I must say was the most entertaining with her ad-libbed final song (forward to 2:50 and watch from there)

Can't wait till next week.

Can I also just say that Cat Deeley's links are annoying. The US should give thanks they don't have to see them.

Get Yer Skates On!

On Friday my friends and I made our way down to Canvas in Kings Cross for a night of fun and laughter. We went Roller Disco! A few of my friends made the effort to dress the part, leg warmers, head bands and shiny leggings. - they looked great. I personally think we should have gone in matching outfits like the serious roller dancing troupe that we are (yeah right).

Some of us could skate already, and some were novices like myself. Some of us took to it like a duck to water, others (mainly me) were scared of falling. Falling on your coccyx hurts you know. So I could only manage to 'skate' (used in the loosest sense of the word) if helped. At least I can say, I didn't fall over at all.

There were some idiots there who thought it was funny to try and push each other over, without a thought for other skaters. Idiots. Then there were some professional skaters there who were dancing and strutting their stuff on wheels. Show offs (I'm just jealous).

As the night wore on, the place slowly emptied.As a result I felt a bit braver and started to skate unaided, albeit in a tiny circle. All in all a good time was had by all and I would probably do it again, face your fear and all.

Ali Eddie won for best costume.

Downsides:
-We had to wait in the rain for ages, and my coat ended up smelling like wet dog. Nice. However, I suppose this was our own fault as we weren't smart enough to book tickets online in advance.
-At the end of the night, the little booth where you go to return your skates and collect your shoes, smelt like cheesy feet. Urrrghh. How the people who work there can stand it, I don't know.

American Idol Own Me

I love it! I watched Season 1 and then didn't watch seasons 2 or 3. Don't ask me why, I just didn't. I got back into it Season 4, just in time for the final. From then on American Idol have had my undivided attention. Vote Like Yamin It!!

For those of you uninitiated into the ways of the American Idol. It airs in the US on Tue (boys sing), Wed (girls sing) and Thu (results show). We in the UK then get to see all of them on Friday. That means from 8:30pm on a Friday night ITV2 own my eyeballs.

Now from what I have seen so far, the girls are better than the boys. Ryan Seacrest is getting trampier by the show and Paula Abdul has yet to say anything constructive, and Simon is Simon.

Last week saw the first people to be elimanted from the show, slowly whittling away at the 24.

However, the few that stood out for me were:

Jordin Sparks - so young but big big voice.

Lakisha Jones - Woah! Hold on to your hats...

Jared Cotter - I may be influenced by the song, as I love this Brian McKnight song. The ending was not so great, but still one to watch out of the boys.

These may change during the course of the show, but for now what do you think?

Looking for the Funny contd...

In my post Find the Funny in Everything, I wrote about how Stephen K Amos said that funny was all around us, we just had to look for it.

Well I can tell you that I have put out my 'funny feelers', and lo and behold I found some funny.

Most people think that working in a bookshop must be boring and geeky, and probably put it on a par with being a librarian. Well, you'd be wrong. It's a breeding ground for funny. My favourite line from a customer is: "I'm looking for a book..." You're in a bookshop! Of course you're looking for a book! However, this is not the funny I speak of, that is just an example of stupid.

Funny numero 1: A woman comes up to me at the information desk with a list of books she is trying to find. Well done to her for being prepared.
I take a look at the titles and hold back the chuckle trying to escape.

Book 1-How To Microwave: Discover The True Magic of this Amazing Appliance I kid you not. Surely when you buy a microwave it already comes with this book. It's called the INSTRUCTIONS! What's to know? You pop in your food, flick a switch and you wait for the Ping. Voila. This book is 125 pages, what could the author possibly have written for 125 pages? Maybe she wrote in font size a million. Anyhoo, on to the next book.

Book 2- The Classic 1000 Microwave Recipes.
If you can take the time and effort to follow a recipe, chop up ingredients and mix them all up. Why not just cook on a regular stove? It defeats the whole point of a microwave. Maybe I should have made her aware that you can actually buy ready meals now. M&S do some good ones.

Funny numero 2: As I was shelving some fiction, I came across the book Fried Green Tomatoes at Whistlestop Cafe. The author's name is Fannie Flagg !! Excuse me for being childish, but her name is Fannie Flagg. Her real name is Patricia Neal, but she couldn't use it in a professional capacity, as there was an already famous Patricia Neal. So, if she had to change her name, bearing in mind she could have chosen anything, the best she could come up with was Fannie Flagg. I suppose no one else is going to be called Fannie Flagg.

There you have it, funnies I found at work that made me laugh.

What Will She Do Next?

Britney has made the headlines again, this time for going bald. I saw this pic over at Gallery of the Absurd and it made me laugh.

Yes ol Britters did act like a crazy person, walking in off the street into a tattoo parlour, and shaving off her hair for no apparent reason. But the question still perplexing us all is: Why Did She Do It?.

As far as I am aware she is not lined up to do a G.I Jane remake or sequel. Nor is she going through a musical genre change and heading down a Sinead O' Connor route, or at least I don't think so. Come to think of it,is she still even making 'music'? Maybe, just maybe she had a bad case of head lice and she had to take drastic action. Hence, the head shave. It's plausible, afterall she has two boys, and you know how kids just love to share their cooties. Meh! Who knows?

My problem is that, I want to ridicule her, like really ridicule her, but part of me just feels sorry for her and so it won't come out. Stupid conscience.

Part of me wants her to get some help so she can sort herself out and take care of her kids. The other half wants her to do something even crazier to give us more stuff to laugh and point at, like getting a rude word tattooed on her forehead or better yet, getting it tattooed on her baby. It doesn't matter which one. Oh that would make me chuckle.

Pah! What's the point anyway? My stupid conscience would get the better of me.

I'm Soooo Excited...

Wooooooooooo!! I finally managed to get myself a work placement at a magazine. I am very excited.
I don't start until the end of April so I have to just sit tight and wait till then.
Clothes, beauty products, celebrities.... Eeeeek. Obviously I will have limited involvement and will probably spend a lot of time in the fashion cupboard. But, do you know what? I don't care.

Ok, I'm going to stop now and put away the excitement. Shhhhh...

Find the Funny in Everything

The other night, our friends managed to get some free (I love that word) tickets for the recording of Paramount's The World Stands Up' - a showcase of stand up comics from around the world.

Now, you never know what you are going to get at these shows and can only pray that on the night that you go, the people performing are funny. Not regular funny, but make you cry, gasp for breath kind of funny. Funny with a capital 'E'! I wanted to laugh hard. My expectations were high since I had crossed the river and ventured into South London to go and see this thing, so the pressure was on.

None of us wanted to sit at the front, for fear of being picked on by the comic, so we found some seats a suitable distance away from the stage. i.e the first floor.

The comedians, whose names I don't remember (not because they weren't funny, but becuase I didn't catch them over the noise) were suprisingly funny. Some were funnier than others, but all in all a good night.

The only downer was the last comedian. He was NOT funny. It seemed like such a shame to end the show with him. He should be thankful I don't remember his name, so I can't name and shame him as much as I want. All that I can remember is that, he was a mumbly Irish man, sang a song about his kitchen drawers, talked about his eyebrows and did a little jig. Boooooooooo!!! Avoid at all costs.

The two I liked the most were Will Smith (no not the Fresh Prince of Bel Air), this Will Smith a floppy haired, unusually tall Hugh Grant type and Stephen K Amos. Both were hilarious (move over Nick Cannon.... anyone geddit?) Both had intelligent acts that tickled the audience into fits of laughter. They are both comedians I would love to watch again.

Stephen K Amos said something along the lines of 'finding the funny in everything, because it's happening all around you' and it's true!

Anyhooo... here is a little taster of Mr Amos' act when he performed in Melbourne. Enjoy and laugh heartily.

White Out

As we all know is snowed today. Some schools were closed, transport was disrupted and everyone complained about how cold it was. What do you expect? It's winter. We live in the UK and not the tropics, why is it always such a shock?

Anyhoo, when I got up this morning, the snow was untouched and everything looked so pretty. However, by the time I left the house it was starting to turn into sludge. Booooo.

As I ~~walked~~ slipped and slid my way to the bus stop, a man walked passed me wearing... Flip-flops!! Kudos for taking on mother nature, but he is just asking for frost bite.

Obviously because it was cold, everyone was wearing about 7 layers of clothes to keep them warm outdoors, myself included. However, when I got on the bus, where the bus driver had turned the heating on full blast. I quickly realised I had too many clothes on and it felt like a sauna. I'm sure I was not the only one suffering in the stifling heat but everyone stayed silent. No one would open a window, trapping in the heat and everyones morning breath. Bleurgh! Seriously, some of you need to be a bit more through with the tooth brush and maybe invest in some mouthwash. Judging by the smell on the bus, some of you have a bad case of the halitosis and are long overdue a trip to the dentist. Oh, and by the way if you are going to cough, cover your mouth. Don't cough in someone's face, that's just gross. Did your ma not teach you anything?

By the time I reached my destination, the snow had gone. Who knows when we'll see it again, what with global warming and all. That was my day in the snow. Not much happened, just came across more things to gripe about. Hope you all had fun and enjoyed it whilst it lasted. Back to school tomorrow kids!

Rising Property Prices

For the rest of you prospective first time property buyers, you will no doubt be aware that everything out there at the moment costs an arm, leg and kidney. It may be a rat infested cupboard in the scummiest part of town, but it will still set you back at least £250,000.

So what if I told you, you could buy an acre, yes a whole acre of land, for just £20! Just think, you could build your dream home and not have to succumb to the extortionate prices of London town.

OK, the drawback would be moving out of London, but don't lose sight of what you would be getting -a whole acre of land at a bargain price.

I guess you are wondering where is this great piece of real estate, and the answer is: VENUS.

The commute would be a bit of a bitch, but hey it's worth it, right?

My bag featured on one of the sites I write for - The Bag Lady, in a feature called 'What's in Your Bag?'. So basically the innards of my bag were laid out for all to see - minus snot rags, receipts and other general rubbish that takes up squatters rights at the bottom of my bag. So here is the edited version of what I cart around on most days.

The Pursuit of Happyness

Spot the spelling mistake.
Now if you don't see it straight away then tut tut.

Answer: Happiness is spelt with an 'i' not a 'y'.

At first I thought 'Duh!! Hollywood'. Then I thought, maybe his character's name was 'Happyness'. It's not; it's Chris Gardner, so there went that theory.
It was really bugging me, I don't know why. So I did what any other normal person would do, I IMDB'd that shizzle. Lo and behold, I found my answer.

**Clears throat**
"The spelling error in the title is intentional: it refers to an important scene in the movie, in which children are writing words such as Happyness on the wall, and is mentioned to them it doesn't matter how it is spelled"

Oh I get it.... now. I still don't think you should be encouraging kids to spell incorrectly. It does matter how things are spelt, otherwise they bug me like this has done.

However, that is not all, there was more... "The scene however has been cut" The scene has been cut! I thought the scene was important, clearly not that important to end up on the cutting room floor. So now there is no explanation in the film as to why 'Happyness' is spelt with an 'y' instead of an 'i'.

How would the audience ever get that? I'm going to go back to thinking that the powers that be in Hollywood just can't spell. It was too late to do anything as the posters had been printed, so they made up that scenario to cover themselves.

This has nothing to do with the film, as I haven't seen it. The spelling was just bothering me, but thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I Think My Mum is Going Deaf or Insane

The other day I was sitting at my computer doing stuff, when the phone rang. It was my mum. The following exchange took place:

Me: Hi Mum (I have caller ID so I knew it was her) You ok?
Mum: Hello. What are you doing?
Me: I'm just preparing my invoice (for the freelance stuff I do)
Mum: What? Basketball ??
Me: [Stunned silence]

I could not stop laughing. Maybe I should stop laughing and take her to get some help.

Even Apl.de.ap from the Black Eyed Peas knows what I am talking about. Watch the first 15 seconds of the clip, you can watch the other 11 mins to if you want, but it's the first 10-15 seconds that are killer. (Thanks Brader Lacdao for showing me this... I laughed till I cried)

Grumpy Shoppers

This was something else I was meant to blog about before the end of 2006, but didn't get round to it, so here it is.
For Christmas I got myself a part time job in a bookstore for some extra cash. It has been a while since I have been on the shop floor, but it's been ok. What I was going to blog about was: Christmas Shoppers.
Some are nice, some are quiet and some are just downright rude.

Obviously Christmas is the busiest time of year and people seem to go mental in the shops and lose all logic, reason and basic common courtesy. So, here are some tips to think about and prepare yourself for later on in the year.

- Do not tut and groan about having to wait in a queue for ages. If you are going to come at lunchtime, at the same time as everyone else, of course it is going to be busy, so deal with it.
- Whilst waiting in the queue, why not prepare your method of payment so that when you get to the till and we announce the total, you don't look at us like we have asked for your first-born child. Then spend the next 5 minutes rifling through your bag for your wallet.
- "How would you like to pay?" is not a trick question or a hard question, nor is "would you like a bag for that?" The answers are either cash/card or yes/no. Please commit these to memory, as I am sure you will encounter them at a later date.
- A please and thank you would also not go a miss.

These are just the basics.

Anyhoo, Christmas shopping mania is now over so everyone can just relax.

A Modern Day Mi-Wii-cle...(get it?)

So as I said in my last post, I had a lot to fill you in on. I hope you are sitting comfortably as it could be a long one, depending on how I feel. Now where do I start...

Ahhh yes, cast your minds back to September when I posted about the Nintendo Wii and how I could not wait till it's release.

Well my friends and I had been lusting after it for a while, reading about it in magazines and generally getting giddy with excitement. However, for some reason we didn't buy into the hype that if you didn't pre-order the chances of getting one would be zero. So as a result, come launch day, we all felt like chumps and no one had a Wii. Poo.

We heard through friends of friends who had cleverly pre-ordered how ace the Wii was, and of course there was YouTube. Grrrr. Were we bitter? No. Jealous? Hell yeah!

Bless Mr Barnieh, he had tried to snag me one from somewhere as a Christmas present and had to tell me in the end about his unsuccessful mission. Ahhh, it was the thought and effort that counts.

By this time I had pretty much resigned myself to not getting my chubby little mitts on a Wii until well into 2007. That was until Thursday 21st December, the day I got a Wii [cue chorus of angels].

Remember the film Miracle on 34th Street? Well forget it. This was Mi-Wii-cle in HMV Trocadero. Mr. Lacdao and I were doing some last minute Chrimbo shopping, and we were in HMV picking up some bits and bobs. We weren't even going to go there but did so at last minute, and thank heavens we did. I always find whenever I go in there I get followed by the security guards; maybe I have a face like a criminal, who knows. Anyway, Mr. Lacdao had picked up what he needed and I was eager to get down to the games section, not for a Wii as I had given up on that, but to see what games were available for my DS Lite. The hovering security guard then said:

Security Guard: Getting that for Christmas? (Directed at Lacdao who was carrying a DVD player)
Lacdao: Yeah.
Security Guard: Blah Blah Blah Wii Blah Blah Blah (Can't actually remember what he said exactly, but I remember him mentioning the Wii.
Lacdao: Oh yeah, but they're sold out.
Security Guard: No, we got some in this evening. There are 3 left.
Us: What? You've got Wii's in stock now?
Security Guard/New Best Friend: Yeah, should have 3 left.
Me: What are we waiting for? Let's go..... Thanks (as we skipped off down the stairs)

I then purchased the last of the Wii's that they had. Some other stuff happened in between, but the main point is: I got a Wii!! If we had dilly-dallied any longer, I could have missed out.

So we had a Wii filled Christmas. My mum even got into it. She looks like a crazy person brandishing the Wii-mote.

I have Wii Sports, Rayman Raving Rabbids and have bought Golden Axe and Super Mario Bros for the Virtual console. I still want Wii Play and cannot wait until Jan 12th - Warioware Smooth Moves.

So, that was how I came to be in possession of a Wii. The end.

I'm Still Alive!!

Hello All.

Hope you all had a merry New Year and that so far it is going well.

I just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive and kicking and haven't fallen down some well. I've been trying to write on this thing for aaaaagggggeeees now and it was just getting ridiculous. So I am going to make a bigger effort. I've got lots to write and really don't know where to start, but in due time I will have you all updated in the latest goings on and random thoughts that I have had.

Anyway, I have just arrived home from the day job. I am pooped. Don't know what to do first, eat (I haven't had anything all day), nap, post for the Shiny sites , laundry... decisions decisions. (Can you see how exciting my life is? Bet you're jealous)

Filipino Bashing

As I mentioned earlier, I have bagged myself a part time job and just in case you were interested it is in a bookshop. Anyway, my main duty involves covering the till during the lunchtime stampede. However, the other day during a rare quiet moment in the shop, I over heard this exchange:

Guy: (as he browses through a book) Oh the Philippines looks lovely, that is somewhere I would really like to go. It looks beautiful.

Ugly Wench: Mumble, mumble, mumble, shit, mumble, mumble.

Guy: What? Is it not nice? Have you been there? But it looks so beautiful. (Continues to flick through book)

Ugly Wench: It's not very nice; there is nothing to see. It's really dirty and smelly and all the people are really rude.

Guy: Oh... (continues to mumble about how it looks so nice)

Guy's mum: Really? It looks like such a nice place and all the Filipinos I have ever met have all been lovely.

Ugly Wench: That is because they are not in the Philippines.

Now if I didn't care about being fired, that Ugly Wench would have promptly found herself with a Filipino shaped dent in her head, i.e. me.

How dare she go around bad mouthing Philippines and Filipinos. For those a bit slow on the uptake, I am Filipino. Now I wouldn't consider myself to be uber patriotic or anything, I wasn't even born there. I was born and raised here in London, but my parents and my family are from the Philippines and a slur against the Philippines is a slur against them, ergo, me and I am not having that.

Did she ever stop to think what a huge sweeping generalisation she was making? Yes, she may have gone to parts of the Philippines that are a little run down and dirty, but the whole country is not a rubbish site. The people she may have met may have been rude, probably because with her stinky attitude, she was rude first. Git.

I Haven't Forgotten.

You guys thought I had forgotten all about you, well I haven't. I've just been busy as I got myself a little Chrimbo job for some extra spondoolicks. I started at the beginning of December and am now completing my second week and do you know what? Going back to the shop floor has not been that daunting. It's like riding a bike, kind of, not at all but you get my drift.
Well what's with the picture of someone about to hurl you may ask, and the answer is this: I had to call in sick on my second day as I had some weird tummy thing. Some of you cynics out there will roll your eyes and go "yeah, yeah" well it was true. On the Monday night I came over all nauseous and went to bed early and then I woke up in the middle of the night and just started projectile vomiting all over the bath room. This continued all night, on the hour every hour. Not pleasant. Dizzy, weak and unable to stand, I couldn't hold anything down. I felt like the biggest slacker having to call in. I am all better now though. That is the story of my first few days of work, the end.

Britney Arrested for Indecent Exposure

Now that ol' Britters and new BFF Paris Hilton are out celebrating her new single status and partying their way across the US, it seems she has forgotten one important thing - her knickers.
I know that The Superficial and Egotastic reported on this a while ago, but I am only getting round to putting my two pennies worth in now.
Who needs to see Britney's vagina 3 times?... and counting, I am sure that is not its last outing.
One time = oops, and could be written off as an accident. However, two more times ?? Either Britney is really dozy or is desperately seeking our attention. It's a tough call.

Bit of advice Britney, waving your vagina at us is not helping. Yes it may be getting people's attention, but it is not the good kind.

How proud your mother must be and way to show K-Fedex (literally) what he has been missing. I'm sure all this vagina flashing will do wonders for your potential ensuing custody battle.

I Thought He Cared...

I thought Ruvjet cared about me, but I think this might not actually be true. Why?

Well if he really cared about me why did he make me aware of this ...

It is just plain cruel.

My ears have been abused and I don't know if I will ever be the same again.

To make things clear as to why I am clearly rambling like a loon, listen to THIS.

Make it stop, for the love of all things holy -MAKE IT STOP!!

How can they have an album out? Did people actually hear Katie Price/Jordan sing prior to offering her a deal to produce an album?
I could go on about how she sounds like a gaggle of cats being slaughtered etc. but I don't think that even begins to cover it. It is just baaaad.
I'm sure this album is in flagrant violation of trading standards and tantamount to daylight robbery.

For all you folk out there who may be thinking "who am I to say anything, can I even sing, and what gives me the right to judge blah blah blah' Well no, I can't sing, but do you see me trying to peddle an album?

A positive can be said about this whole thing though, at least we know Peter Andre must really, really love Katie or maybe he's just deaf.

If you end up just as traumatised as me after hearing Katie Price ~~sing~~ wail, we can all go to therapy together as I am sure we can get some kind of group discount.

What Do You Call Yours?

Seriously people...minds out of the gutters.

The other day Ruvjet was showing my brother and I a scene out of Arrested Development (funny, funny, funny ass sh*t... and I have never sworn on this blog, so that's saying something) where Tobias says something along the lines of "my cellular telephone is a lemon". We just found it so funny that he called it a cellular telephone, oh and it was the way he said it.

Anyway, so I gots to thinking (Carrie Bradshaw stylee) why do some people call it a 'Cell Phone", you know as in "I'm on my cell'' and others call it a 'Mobile Phone'? Well I suppose the simplest reasons are; the first one has just been shortened from cellular telephone and the latter because it is a portable/mobile telephone device. However, what I mean is who decides which one should be used and how does it stick? If anyone knows or can shed any light on this mystery please put your answers on a postcard and send them to Jim'll Fix It.

I personally call my phone Phoney McRingring (no copying now or I'll come and get you!), it is a phone and it rings. I added the 'Mc' for novelty and cuteness factor.

So anyway I decided that until we find out who officially makes these decisions, I am. So from now on it will no longer be called Cell phone but 'Cell Tel' and Mobile phone will forever be called 'Mopho'... oh no, that won't work.
